Built as a railroad bridge in 1888 and as a pedestrian walkway and the longest footbridge in the world in October 2009 as a part of the Walkway Over the Hudson State Historic Park.
The Corning Museum of Glass is located in Corning, New York and dedicated to the art, history and science of glass with collections, exhibitions, education and demonstrations. Founded in 1951 by Corning Glass Works currently has a collection of more than 45,000 glass objects, some over 3,500 years old.
